Although a short week, it was wonderful to welcome back students. We are very much looking forward to welcoming back students when this job action is resolved.
A note that Canyon's Early Learning Program is a Licensed Preschool Program located within the school, therefore it will continue to operate as normal during the upcoming job action.
The Perogy/Sausage and Jerky Fundraiser is ongoing with online orders closing on Monday. Please pick up your order outside at the school on October 15th between 3-6pm. Thank you. Our Booster Club appreciates your support!
Counselling support for students will remain available for the duration of job action. While classroom learning may be interrupted, the emotional well-being of our Canyon students continues to be a priority. Counselling support can be accessed virtually or by phone at the request of a student or their parent/guardian. Please note that counselling services do require informed consent from the legal guardian(s) prior to starting, and I encourage you to reach out if this support would be beneficial for your child. Please feel free to contact the school to connect with Jocelyn and she can be in touch.
The school division posts all the correspondence on the lrsd.ca website. You can find the most up-to-date Labour Relations information here. As of today, all classes are cancelled beginning Monday, October 6th.
We look forward to seeing everyone again as soon as possible!

- 16 - Chicken Lunch (will be rescheduled for Nov. 13th if not back to school)
