This week we toured our Superintendent, Mr. Seguin, and five Board Trustees around the school. The students were excited to highlight their learning, clubs and projects and they were highly complimented for doing a wonderful job. Shout out to Penelope H and Emma T for being amazing tour guides and hosts! We also enjoyed place based learning with Day on the Creek. Thank you to all parents who were able to join the classes and take in the sessions. We are grateful to our community partners at Waterton Biosphere and the many community volunteers that make this day engaging and successful!
Canyon is selling yearbooks again this year for $20! If you are interested in ordering, please go to ybpay.ca Enter Yearbook ID Code: 14946125. Yearbook forms were sent home this week as well if you prefer to return the paper copy. Our school yearbooks will arrive in September and we will ensure Grade 6 orders are delivered to MHHS. Thank you for your interest in the Canyon School yearbook.
Canyon School is hosting a division wide Grade 4 to 6 Track and Field day on Tuesday, June 24th. The Pincher Creek track facility has been booked and we are putting out a request for parent volunteers! On the day of the track meet we require volunteers to assist with track start and finish line Marshalls, one Starter, one Finish Line Recorder, concession volunteers, etc... We are also in need of coaches! If you are interested and available to support on June 24th or coach an event after school, please contact Mrs. Ames at amesj@lrsd.ab.ca or by phoning the school at 403-627-3118. We would love to sign you up for your volunteer area of interest and are thankful for your support! It's going to be a fun day! :)
