Blue Mouse Green House, Communities in Bloom and Canyon Joint Project

Canyon School Grades 1-3 students and families are invited to participate in a community project and service learning initiative partnered with Communities in Bloom and the Blue Mouse Greenhouse.

This Thursday afternoon, students in Grade 1-3 will have the opportunity to each plant a pot of marigolds. The Community in Bloom colour is orange this year. If families wish to keep the marigolds, we can continue to beatify our town by planting these flowers at home. Should families wish to donate their plants, students from Canyon School's Horticulture Club will donate and possibly assist with planting at Vista Village for the residents to enjoy!

Later in April, students will have the opportunity to also plant sunflowers. Sunflowers can be taken home and planted for a Communities in Bloom contest. In August, parents are invited to submit photos of the sunflower for voting on the tallest, largest flower and most vibrant sunflowers. More details to follow.
