This week our Safety Patrol students enjoyed a year end trip to Lethbridge at the University of Lethbridge. We thank all parents who were able to attend. Shout out to Ms. Bonertz and Miss McCracken for organizing and supporting our Safety Patrol program this year. We had over 50 students participate in Safety Patrol and help to keep our crosswalk safe!
Students also enjoyed three Metis learning sessions with instructors from the Rupertsland Institute. These sessions included a discussion on the history of Métis beadwork and a painted beadwork activity (dot painting), a “fireside chat” to learn about a trapline and hunting experiences with many fun items the students could see and touch, as well as, learning the traditional Métis dance in the gym. We are grateful to work with community organizations to enhance learning outcomes for students!

Yearbook forms were sent home this week as well if you prefer to return the paper copy. Our school yearbooks will arrive in September and we will ensure Grade 6 orders are delivered to MHHS.
